The aim of the study was to determine the amount of metal ions of humus soil sample obtained from botanical garden of PU . The various parameters of soil such as pH, electrical conductivity, amount of silica were determined by physical, chemical and spectroscopic methods. The soil sample was analyzed for different metal ions like Ba2+, Cd2+, Ca2+, Co2+, Cu2+, Fe2+, F3+, Li1+, Mg2+, Ni2+, K1+, Na1+ and Zn2+. The levels of metals were found in the following order:
Na+>K+>Fe2+&Fe3+>Mg2+>Ba2+>Ca2+>Zn2+>Co2+>Cu2+>Li+>Ni+>Cd2+
